Redfish and Trout Action Stays Strong
Espiritu Santo Bay - Calhoun, TX
I am pleased to provide an update on my Tight Lines Page, noting that our team has experienced a particularly busy period since early Spring, with no signs of slowing down. If you're interested in joining our fishing excursions, I recommend contacting me promptly. The fishing season has been exceptional, with consistent results expected to continue. Here's a summary of our recent fishing report: From February to early March, we targeted Sheepshead at the jetty, with some scattered catches of drum and redfish. Mid-March through April saw non-stop redfish action in our backlakes, primarily using shrimp on popping corks and fresh cut mullet near the shore, alongside excellent trout action. We've found trout wading shallow waters, responding well to lures such as Coastal Brew tails, Topwaters, and Pavlures. Additionally, freelining live shrimp over shell has yielded great trout action. As we enter May, we continue to target redfish in shallow waters, often encountering grouped fish that lead to double and triple hookups. Looking ahead to the rest of the month, we plan to venture out to the big jetty to chase large schools of jacks and redfish feeding on menhaden during hard incoming tides, promising fast-paced action. I invite you to join us for an unforgettable experience, creating memories with family and friends. Please don't hesitate to call me at 830-534-1613.
